Thank you for supporting original art. Please review our shipping guidelines for purchasing and delivering oil paintings.
1. Processing and Curing Times
  • Dry Time: Oil paintings require significant time to cure completely.
  • Safe Shipping: Paintings will only ship once completely dry to touch.
  • Curing Delay: Newly finished pieces may require 2 to 6 weeks before packing.
  • Notification: We will notify you immediately if your piece requires extra drying time.
2. Shipping Destinations and Methods
  • Local Delivery: Available for collectors within the Greater Seattle/King County area.
  • Studio Pickup: Free local pickup can be arranged by appointment.
  • Carrier Services: We ship statewide and nationwide via UPS or FedEx.
  • No P.O. Boxes: Standard carriers cannot deliver oversized artwork to P.O. Boxes.
3. Shipping Rates and Sales Tax
  • Calculated Rates: Shipping fees depend on package weight, dimensions, and destination.
  • Destination Tax: Washington State uses a destination-based sales tax system.
  • Tax Rate: Sales tax is calculated based on the delivery address, not the studio address.
  • In-Store Pickup: Standard local sales tax applies if you pick up at the studio.
4. Packaging and Handling
  • Surface Protection: Painted surfaces are covered with glassine paper to prevent sticking.
  • Cushioning: Artwork is wrapped in multiple layers of heavy-duty bubble wrap.
  • Outer Shell: Pieces ship in specialized premium cardboard boxes or custom wooden crates.
  • Signature Required: All original paintings require a signature upon delivery for security.
5. Insurance and Damages
  • Full Insurance: Every shipment is fully insured for the value of the artwork per shopify coverages.
  • Damage Inspection: Please inspect your package immediately upon arrival.
  • Report Window: Report transit damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Documentation: Keep all original packaging and take clear photos of the damage.
